Nerve-related symptoms can present in different ways. Some patients feel sharp, radiating pain down an arm or leg. Others experience persistent numbness, pins-and-needles sensations, or burning discomfort in the hands or feet.
Common mechanical contributors include:
- Disc irritation affecting spinal nerve roots
- Joint restriction in the cervical or lumbar spine
- Muscle tension compressing peripheral nerves
- Postural strain affecting nerve pathways
In other cases, neuropathy may be influenced by blood sugar instability, nutrient deficiency, inflammation, or thyroid dysfunction. When symptoms are persistent or bilateral, systemic evaluation may be appropriate.
